Jazz House
Kids celebrated its 5th anniversary with a gala benefit
and jazz concert held June 7, 2007 at the Montclair Art
Museum in Montclair, New Jersey. The artfully displayed
and beautifully jazzed night would hold many splendid surprises
for our esteemed guests and all-star musicians that gathered
to celebrate the organization's mission and accomplishments.
From the first down beat the night got kicked off on a high
note as guests were greeted with an array of sumptuous appetizers
and beautiful blue and green cocktails accompanied by a
swinging performance from the Jazz House Kids Quartet.
JHK appreciates the tremendous talent of our many clinicians
and their commitment to arts education and to this organization
in particular. A special thank you to the musicians that
performed at the gala: Jack Glottman (pn), Chris Burger
(bs), Jerome Jennings (dm) and our musical director and
saxophonist Ed Palermo.
Thanks to our many volunteers and industrious auction committee
members, the evening featured an incredible silent auction
display with an array of exciting gems, concert tickets,
rare sports memorabilia, fashion items, weekend getaways,
and the like.
Leila Dunbar, Senior Vice President of Sotheby's ran a hair
raising live auction which included among other items tickets
to Super Bowl XLII.
